about

This is the very first song I've shared with the world!

Winged Woman is a character in a poem called Mirror I wrote when I practised Object Writing every morning for 3 months sometime in 2016.

Mirror -
A mirror, the size of my palm, lies across my path.
Shining, reflecting the morning sun.
A refracted rainbow prism, hovers and sparkles invitingly.
One solitary drop of morning dew falls onto the mirror. A crisp, clear bell rings through the air.
Another drop of dew falls onto the mirror, a different note punctuates the air.
Curious, I draw closer, to better see how it manages to make such lovely sounds.
I gaze upon the surface of the mirror; it looks just like an ordinary mirror.
I gather a few drops of dew from a nearby leaf and carefully pour a drop onto the mirror.
It sings!
A shape appears for a second.
Excited, I pour more drops unto the mirror. It begins to sing a beautiful tune: a heart-wrenchingly beautiful tune.
I sit frozen, for the song pierces my heart. I feel pain.
An intense heartache. Sadness befalls me. Tears appear in my eyes and trickle down my face.
The song stops. I look into the mirror, my tear falls onto its surface, it glistens and glows for a moment.
And there she was.
From within the mirror, sits a magnificent creature, a winged woman.
Small and slender, with chestnut eyes and waterfall locks.
Her wings, full of beautiful feathers that shimmer with no light, folded by her sides, engulfing her tiny frame.
She looks up at me, her eyes full of sorrow.
She spreads her wings, they open up to reveal more beautiful shimmering feathers.
They stop abruptly, for she has hit the edges of the mirror.
She was trapped. In a tiny mirrored prison cell, unable to fly.
